Nectar Collectar
Buzz Around The Bee Board!
Nectar Collector is special to us because it marked the beginning of our former company, Animal Town – and because my mother, Colette, invented the original version of this board game in 1939. The object is to reach the Queen Bee in the center of the board, but first you must gather nectar (golden beads) to fill your honeycomb. Luck, strategy and lots of fun are involved here. Winning isn’t everything because you gain useful information about honeybees – especially how well they work together and their contribution to food production. Thanks to Mom for planting me with the seeds of invention and cooperation. This is Jann’s favorite game! Thirty to 45 minutes of fun. For 1-4 players, ages 8 & up. With a little help, younger children will enjoy playing, too. Invented by Ken and Jannice.
