String Games
String Games from Around the World
There’s one thing for sure that can tie people and cultures together – string. This simple invention has been used all over the world for centuries – by fisherman hunting for fish to kite flyers in Chicago to children creating string games in Paraguay. Here is a collection of seven string games, introduced by youngsters from seven diverse cultures. The games are named for the final string configuration – such as “flying bird”, “mosquito” and “palm tree” – all clearly illustrated with full-color photographs, drawings and paintings. Comes complete with one tie-dyed string loop. Spiral-bound, 80 cardboard pages. For ages 6 and up.
